Drama Techniques

The drama techniques i have used in my fairy tale play are:

1.Open body language
2.Cross-cutting
3. Monologue
4.Freeze frames
5.Improvisation
6.Interaction with the audience

Question 1.
Are the techniques clear enough for a Year 6 audience?

The techniques are very clear to a year 6 audience.they understand what freeze frames are to show key features or marking the moment in scenes.Cross cutting is also clear to them showing two things which could be happening at the same time. Monologues to show how people feel and express their feelings to the audience and to know there plans and emotions another good reason for monologue's is that they also could give Dramatic Irony meaning something the audience knows but the actor doesn't know what is going to happen, this is usually used a lot in pantomime genre's,Interaction with the audience was the most clearest to the audience because its all about them making sure they understand the play and keep them enthusiastic and focused and making sure they understand the moral but the one drama technique that may have not been clear to the audience is improvisation many times improvisation can go very well and the audience tend not to realize the improvised parts but sometimes when it gets over exaggerated it starts to become quite confusing not on to the audience but to the chemistry of ensembles.

Question 2
How could you develop the technique to make it 100% clear to our Year 6 audience?

We need to start rehearsing on our scenes and try to cut down on improvisation more often in our scenes this will not create any confusion for anyone and will keep the year 6 audience engaged on the play and not having a clue on what is going on.
