The Grimm's Brothers Stories Have Changed In The Mid 20th Century The Tales Were Used As Propaganda By The Third-Reich,Later On In The 20th Century Bruno Bettelheim Recreated The Value Of There Work, In Spite Of The Violence And Cruetly In The Original  Versions Because The Stories Where Mostly Based In Medival Times In The Original Snow White The Evil Stepmother Is Forced To Dance In Red-Hot Iron Shoes Until She Falls Down Dead. In The Goose Maid A  Servant Is Stripped, Thrown Into A Barrel Studded With Sharp Nails, And Dragged Through The Streets. Even Today Some Protective Parents Keep Away From The Grimms' Tales Because Of Their Reputation For Violence.

How did Walt Disney change the stories?

Americans Fell In Love With The Grimms' Tales When Walt Disney In 1937 Released His Animated Film Snow Whita And The Seven Dwarfs, The First Of Three Wildly Popular Disney Adaptations. In Converting A Short Story Into An 80-Minute Musical, The Disney Studio Sweetened The Material, Giving The Dwarfs Names Like Sneezy And Happy. In Cinderella (1950) Disney Frosted The Plot By Adding A Carriage That Turns Into A Pumpkin At The Stroke Of Midnight.

Why do you think he did this?

The Reason Why Walt Disney Did This Was Becuase He Wanted To Create A Story With Magical Characters That Children Will Remeber When They Go To School,Go To Bed And When The Grow Up To Be Grey And Old. Walt And Disney Recreated And Defined The Stories To Warm The Hearts Of Children And Adults Around The World And Create An Entertainment For All To Enjoy And Encounter.

Why do children relate to fairy tales?

Children Relate To Fairytales Because The Characters Are Formed To Be Friendly,Loving And Magical To There Eyes.Fairy Tales Have Came To Rule The Bookshelves Of Children's Bedrooms. The Stories Read Became Like Dreams Come True Handsome Lads And Beautiful Princesses, Armed With Magic, Triumph Over Giants And Witches And Wild Beasts. In The End The boy And Girl Fall In Love And Live Happily Ever After.Children  Love It When Happy Endings Are Always The End To The Story And ALWAYS Ask "Can You Read Me Another Fairytale Story, Please".

What was your favourite fairy tale as a child? Why?

My Favourite Fairy Tale As A Child Was Cinderella. I Always Remeber Sitting Down To Watch Or Listen To The Story Quietly And Really Taking In All The Magic And Enchantment Of It. I Think The Reason Why, Was That They Way They Made Cinderella Interact With Little Girls Like My Age When I Was A Child..You Would Love Listening To Her Voice As She Spoke So Nicely To The Talking Animals And Was So Gentle And Kind, But What Also Made Me Love The Fairy Tale Even More, Was How Her Step-Mothers And Step-Sisters Treated Her Unfairly...Tears Would Drop Down My Eyes As Cinderella Wept By The Cinders Not Being Able To Go To The Ball,Feeling Sad And Alone. This Taught Me Lesson To Love Everyone Like How Cinderella Loved Everyone.

What issues are in your favourite fairy tale?

The Issues That Accured In My Favourite Fairy Tale Was:
Unfairness
Discrimination
Love
Hatred
Greed
Jelousy

These Issues Where Not Just Based On Cinderella Herself But With The Other Characters Based In The Story For Example The Relatonship Between The Step-Mother Was Greed That She Wanted Everything For Her And Her Daugthers; Love Between Cinderella And The Prince; Jelousy Between The Step-Sisters And The Other Girls At The Ball As They Jeested And Whispered As She Came Down The Ball Room Stairs.

What does this fairy tale teach you about life?

The Fairy Tales Teaches Me That Love Everybody,Dont Judge People By There Book Becuase You Dont Know What That Person Could Be...They Could Be A Millionare Looking To Help You Or Some Ugly Old Peasant Looking For Somebody To Love But The Turns Out To Be An Enchanting Princess. Many Of The Fairytales I Have Seen All Have Morals Like These And Teach Alot Things To People Wether There Old Or Young.

Character Profile-Homework Due 05/10/12

The Character I Would Pick Is Little Red Riding Hood. The Line I Would Associate With Her Is "Why Such Big Eyes You Have".Little Red Riding Hood Is Showing That She Is Confused And Wants To Find Out The Answer From The Wolf (Who Is Dressed In Her Grandmother Clothing). One Explorative Strategy I Would Use As The Character Of Little Red Riding Hood Is Repetition Because I Would Want To Know If The Wolf Is Listening To Me This Strategy Is Actually Used In The Fairy Tale Because Little Red Riding Hood Repeats Herself. E.g "Why Grandma What Big Ears You Have" Why Grandma What Big Eyes You Have" Etc. The Costume I Would Use For My Character Is The Red Cloak Because It Represents Little Red Riding This Cloak Represents Her Even Without Her Name Being Mentioned.

Design A New Drama Warmup

The Game I Choose For My Drama Workup Is Called ZOOM EEK

The Reason I Choose This Game Is Because It Makes The Students Concentrate,Focus And Create's Energy Levels.

The Skills It Will Help To Develop In Class Will Be Concentration,Help To Adapt Thinking Skills And Team Work And Building Skills.

My Class Mates Reaction Was That They Wehere Very Attracted To The Game And Where Willing To Play Numerous Rounds Without Stopping.

It Felt Very Speacil To Lead The Session Because I Felt That My Class Mates Where Taking In Alot Of Skills From My Choosen Game.

It Warmed Up The Actors Because In The Game The A Zoom (car) is passed around the circle. Anyone can stop it and reverse it by shouting “EEK!” It must then change direction. No one can say “EEK” more than once. If you are feeling very strong, you can send two cars in opposite directions but that takes a lot of concentration. This Warms Up The Actors Voice Because The Using The Voice As An Object (Car).

It Warmed Up The Actors Mind Because They Start To Concentrate On Which Way The Sound Of The Car Is Going And There Mind Starts To Be Aware Of Who Has Said "EEK" Already And Who Hadnt.

To Be Honest The Game Really Doesnt Warm Up The Actors Body Because The Actor Doesnt Move Around Much In This Game...That Is Something I Need To Work On For Future Refrence.

The Improvements I Would Make To The Game Is That The Game Needs Some More Interactive movement  In It So That The actors Body Could Getting Warmed While Concentration Is Being Made.

I Have Learnt That This Game Creates Alot Of Concentration For The Actors Mind And Warms Up Their Voice For A Great Device Peice In The Acting Performance In Class.
